Solarize Narragansett

 Let's go Solar!

Welcome

Solarize Narragansett provides a great opportunity for residents and small businesses owners to lower their energy bill, while contributing to our town's green energy efforts. This community-based outreach campaign seeks to increase the adoption of small-scale solar electricity by utilizing a competitively selected installer and a tiered pricing structure that increases savings for everyone as more contracts are signed.

State Solar Incentive Programs – The Renewable Energy Fund (grants) administered by Commerce Rhode Island and the Renewable Energy Growth Program (tariffs) administered by National Grid are limited by available funding or kilowatt capacity that can be awarded each year to Rhode Island residents and businesses. These two solar programs are available on a first-come basis for qualifying projects. Participating in the Jamestown or Narragansett Solarize campaigns does not guarantee acceptance into the state solar incentive programs. For information about the State solar PV incentive programs go to: http://www.energy.ri.gov/policies-programs/programs-incentives/index.php

our solar testimonial

“The Solarize Narragansett program is the next step in our town’s sustainability efforts. I am enthusiastic about the partnership with the Office of Energy Resources and SmartPower, which will bring Narragansett residents access to affordable renewable energy through the Solarize program.”
Susan Cicilline-Buonanno
-President, Narragansett Town Council
“We are excited to welcome Narragansett as our 17th community to join the Solarize program. Living among beautiful beaches and historic charm, Narragansett residents care deeply about their environment, which make them ideal candidates for adopting solar power. We look forward to working with city officials, neighbors and volunteers to make this program a success.”
Carol Grant
-State Energy Commissioner, RI Office of Energy Resources
We were initially were very cautious when looking into solar. However, after two meetings at our home with Daryll from Sunwatt Solar, we knew that going solar was the right thing to do. Sunwatt Solar has their own installation team of licensed professionals. They even helped us to get our free home energy assessment scheduled.
Ken and Sterry Straight
-Narragansett residents and Sunwatt customers,
